About the Role
MG3 Energy is looking for a hands-on Project Engineer to support technical scoping, design review, and integration of distributed energy systems. The Engineer will work closely with the PM and clients to ensure that generator, solar, and battery solutions are engineered to meet resilience, cost, and grid compliance goals.
Requirements
Conduct site assessments, load studies, and technical due diligence.
Develop single-line diagrams (SLDs), equipment specs, and system layouts.
Review vendor drawings, switchgear designs, gas routing, and electrical interfaces.
Support SCADA, metering, and remote control integrations.
Assist with commissioning plans, FATs, and on-site troubleshooting.
Work with vendors and subcontractors on technical scoping and RFI responses.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree - Electrical Engineering
3+ years of experience in power systems, electrical design, or DER implementation.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar tools.
Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, UL standards, and utility interconnection rules.
Experience with low and medium voltage systems required; high voltage and substation familiarity preferred.
Experience in load flow studies, interconnection applications, switchgear design/specification, and drafting proficiency highly desired.
EIT or PE license (or in progress) preferred.
